Implementing the Mental Health Act

چکیده
Residential Accommodation and Day Centres The proposals put forward for hostels vary considerably : the majority see the need for something extra and some plan special hostels for the aged and mentally infirm; some for patients discharged from mental hospitals; some use the hostels of voluntary organisations, some their own. Little is said about the need to collaborate with mental hospitals but it is known that many patients in these could be discharged if suitable hostels existed; perhaps this too may be presumed to have been taken for granted. Day Centres and clubs are already run by a few authorities, or by hospitals serving them. Forty others propose to open them.
